Working Day

Working day in forex trading refers to a day when the banks in a currency's principal financial center are open for business. For a forex transaction involving a major currency pair, a working day only occurs if the banks in both currencies' financial centers of the major currency pair are open for business. For a forex transaction involving a cross, a working day only occurs if the banks in all relevant financial centers of the cross are open for business. For example, for an eur/jpy transaction, a working day would requires banks in financial centers for eur, jpy and usd open.
